I had been wanting to do an engagement session in a greenhouse for awhile, so when Tara approached me about hers — asking for something different — I knew she was the perfect fit.

I totally geeked out during the fern part of this session and kept yelling, “OH MY GOSH, IT’S SO MAGICAL.” Which Daniel, who happened to tag along for this shoot, is still making fun of me for a week later.

Since we’re about a week away from their actual wedding, I had to turn these around quickly, but I didn’t mind one bit! I’ve gotten to know Tara as we’ve gone through her wedding planning journey, but this was my first time to meet James.

I loved, loved, LOVED getting to see these two interact with each other. They were so at ease with each other, that there were no awkward moments getting used to a camera clicking in their face. This lack of awkwardness in the beginning never happens, people, NEVER. In fact, they are so comfortable with each other, when I told them “you can stop kissing” after a pose, James said, “do I have too?”

Melt my heart.

These two are silly, fun and very crazy in love. I just love it.

Tara and James, I’m so glad to get to be a part of this exciting time in your lives and CAN NOT wait for your orchard wedding.
