Drum roll please…
There is actually a wedding blogged for Two Arrows. *jumps for joy*
And who better to be my first wedding blog than Ryan and Jordan? Jordan and I go way back. Think braces, reading Harry Potter books for the first time, hours of giggling in the back of the ag truck during drives to FFA Creed competitions. Yes, Jordan and I go all the way back to middle school.
After getting engaged last year she sent me a message expressing how she wished I could photograph her wedding, but with her being in Oklahoma and me in Kentucky she was sure that was out of the question.
IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT OUT OF THE QUESTION, I practically shouted into my reply back to her.
Fun fact, Oklahoma brides get the same rate as Kentucky brides because shooting an Oklahoma wedding means I get to go home to my family. Which is important to me.
I’m so glad that Jordan reached out to me, even when she thought I wouldn’t be able to shoot her wedding. Not only have I enjoyed the past year of getting to reknow her, I have loved getting to know Ryan and seeing their love for each other and let me tell you these two REALLY love each other.
The great part of being a wedding photographer is witnessing so many other types of relationships, one of my favorite things about Jordan and Ryan’s relationship is how considerate and appreciative of each other they are. Watching them was a reminder to myself how of how much a person blooms when they feel appreciated and to keep that in mind with my own spouse.
So enough with my overly sentimental remarks, please enjoy Ryan and Jordan’s Oklahoma Spring wedding.
I love this man, and his expert dress arrangement skills.
Everything changes, but remains the same. The four of us were middle school best friends. We have this same setup of a photo taken of us at our 8th grade formal. THE second I find the original photo it will be shared as a Transformation Tuesday.
Mr. & Mrs. Engelking, Daniel and I were so honored to be a part of your wedding journey and wish you both many years of adventures.
