On the contact form of my Website there is a required section that says “message.” 85% of people that fill that portion out give me two sentences. One that tells me what they need. The second that asks price. Both of those sentences are totally acceptable and expected.

…but then there is that other 15%, the percent that immediately reaches out to me and their submission form is more like a warm hello as if we were meeting face-to-face at a coffee shop. These are the people I instantly become attached to.

This Two Arrows Bride, Carly, is one of the 15%.

I LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. when brides kick things off by telling me their love stories and wedding details. Carly’s first email to me said this…

“Our love story started 10 years ago in middle school. Jonathan and I were in the 8th grade at Owensboro Catholic Middle School. We were best friends and all of the sudden we “liked” each other. Jonathan asked me to be his girlfriend on March 7, 2007 and the rest is history. He’s been my best friend for 11 years and I can’t wait to marry him!”

Every time I read their story my heart becomes a mush puddle. Y’all they have been together since Middle School.

Middle. School.

…and it shows. One of the things that stood out to me most while shooting their engagement session is how relaxed and comfortable around each other they are.

Because it is finally their wedding weekend, here are a few highlights from their engagement session shot at the beautiful Henry Clay Estate in Lexington.
