We had a month off from weddings, but we’re back! Rolling into July to kick off craziness until November, most importantly though, it’s Mason and Shelby’s wedding week!
These two! I knew from the moment Shelby set down at her first meeting with me at Heine Bros Coffee in Louisville, that I was going to be obsessed, and meeting Mason at their engagement session proved my theory right. Not only are these two SO much fun, they are incredibly comfortable with each other.
I know I say that a lot in engagement session posts, but that is something I look for in a Two Arrows Couple, because when they are uber comfortable with each other, it makes my job of bringing someone’s JOY and personalities out 1,000x’s easier.
We met up at Huber’s Winery in Borden, Indiana the day before Thanksgiving for their engagement session last fall. Don’t let these images you’re about to see fool you, it. was. cold.
So cold that I think I was almost to Owensboro before I could feel my arms and legs again, but totally worth it. Shelby asked me during their first meeting if I would be okay with traveling to this winery for their engagement session. I didn’t even have to google it to agree, I LOVE an opportunity to shoot in a fun place outside my typical stomping grounds, it’s like a creative high for me.
Huber’s Orchard and Winery isn’t just a pretty spot Mason and Shelby thought up for their session, it’s a place that actually holds a lot of meaning to them. It’s where they got engaged! And where their families frequently visit for fun.
Gah! See, ADORABLE these two!! I love how much fun they had with the classic “dip.”
We took a break between outfit changes, to unthaw a bit with hot Apple Cider. It was the perfect little pick me up. I reeeeaaaallllyyy wanted to shoot a little bit with wine barrels and Mason made it happen. Tracking down people to talk to until we found the right one to let us in the basement.
Prepare yourselves, gorgeous light, super fun couple and the cutest tiny Christmas trees this side of the Mississippi coming your way!
The actual spot they got engaged. I only had THREE shots left on my card and we were ALMOST out of light, we used one for a selfie of the three of us, one shot for me to test light in this spot and then, BAM, this was my very last shot that filled up the card.
See you two tomorrow, I’m pretty excited it’s finally Miller Time.
Follow along for more beautiful love stories, life on the farm and every day encouragement. #twoarrowsphoto #danisquared
