Kentucky in the Fall — Kauffeld Family Session

Filed in: Family

I feel like we’ve had 1,001 irons in the fire this year, specifically the last months, so in the midst of all the projects that had to be completed blogging took a back seat.

But here we are, I’m working on editing my last portrait session of 2018, our last wedding of the year is this Saturday and projects that have desperately been needing attention are finally getting some love. I get really excited about this time of year because I finally get to crank out things that make our lives more efficient and provide a better client experience in the busy season. This is also the time of year when the dark and dusty corners of the home finally get cleaned. Ha!

One of my hopes for this year was to blog EVERYTHING, I definitely blogged more this year than I have in previous years of my business, but it still looks bare and pitiful here. So, to finish this year strong I’ve decided to blog every day (except and sometimes maybe depending on the week Sundays) through the new year until I at least have every wedding and engagement session posted, along with some family stuff.

This brings me to this session you’re about to see. Zack and Amanda get the long business update to their blog post because when it comes to Kentucky crew, I’ve known them the longest. They were the first friends Daniel introduced me to when we were dating and Zack was a groomsmen in our wedding.

Daniel and Amanda were high school besties, then Zack was brought into their ‘group,’ then me, then their two boys — Max and Luke entered the world and now we’re here. Since Daniel and Amanda have been friends for so long I like to dream about the day our future babies are either friends, or at the very least being babysat by their babies, for a full sentimental circle of life moment.

Amanda scheduled this session with me last winter, and there was no way to predict how “fall” it would look that day, but holy cow, talk about a perfect fall session. The temps were actually super nice and those trees were really showing off.

Enjoy how cute our friends are now…

Real life moment…
