I can’t believe it as I type this, but this wedding is a year and a half old! I think 2018 ended up being the year when my website was torn to pieces while I tried to figure out exactly what I wanted/needed out of it. SO. GLAD. to be past that and have a beautiful new website that works better for me and a blogging system I can actually handle!

Up until recently, my rural internet was too slow for me to do things like blog, and uploading galleries took DAYS. I’m not exactly functioning at lightning speed now, but definitely zooming along compared to the not-so-distant past.

All that to say why I’m just now getting to share Matt & Ashley gorgeous black-tie Owensboro wedding from September 2017.

Their wedding fell on Daniel’s birthday — September 30th, even though I have since decided we will no longer be shooting weddings on our birthdays/anniversary/or after Thanksgiving, I’m still so glad we took on this one.

Not only was it a gorgeous day, which you’re about to see, we shot this along with Evermore Productions so it made for a super fun day for us!

Funny story, Matt and Ashley wanted me in the limo with them, so Daniel was sent to the reception solo to capture reception details. A can be a little bit of a control freak about my work and he had never done this without my training wheels, so I was low-key nervous.

BUT.

He did amazing. I had no reason to worry, and since then he’s really bloomed as far as taking on details or individuals on bridal party with the bride/groom by himself. So this wedding was really a turning point for us as a husband+wife photography team.
