Let me shout from the rooftops, I FINALLY GOT TO PHOTOGRAPH A WEDDING AT THE COUNTRY PLANTATION HOUSE.

I don’t know why I was so secretly hung up on the fact that I hadn’t, maybe, as much as I hate to admit it, it was a little bit of a comparison game of “it feels like everyone has had a wedding here but me” or maybe it was because it’s just a gorgeous venue that I’ve been dying to get my hands on—honestly it’s a mix of both. But it finally happened, and I’m so glad the first couple I photographed here was Ben and Ashley.

The trend the past year or two has definitely been muted colors — especially for bouquets, so I was more than a little excited to see these bold, fall drenched bouquets. Since Ben and Ashley opted for a first look, after the ceremony while guests were taking horse-drawn carriage rides I was able to sneak the two of them off to the side for five minutes of gorgeous golden hour photos. These two really know how to conjure up the perfect setting sun.
