I love shooting at the Corner House, my first experience there was a mid-November wedding, and goodness it was cold, but they had those pretty gas powered heaters next to tables so the guests seemed super cozy. Even though it was a wee bit chilly I was immediately a fan of the venue. So when Morgan approached me about her August wedding I tried to keep play it cool and semi-contain my excitement over getting to photograph another wedding there.

Here’s what I love about the Corner House

• The house you can rent for getting ready is painted neutrals and light blues. Interior paint colors are either a dream or a nightmare for photographers and videographers. This location is a dream.
• There are plenty of outdoor locations to accommodate for time of year sun change. I’ve now shot there in summer and *basically* winter, with the amount of trees and open land on the site it made my life a lot easier to make a portrait plan.
• The. Swings. I love using the the chairs and swings already located on the property to change up and add variety to bridal or couple portraits.
• I don’t have to worry about traffic, working around people. I think that is one of the main things that is nice when a couple chooses a venue with land. We can relax a little more when working through portraits instead of hurry up and wait or me risking my life by darting through traffic. 😂

This is one of my personal top 5 favorite ring shots ever.

Morgan cried when she opened her letter and present from Dalton and it was just the sweetest.

The band was setting up and testing a few songs. It was bluesey and wonderful sounding, Morgan started dancing just a little during her portraits. I love how music can totally bring forth even more joy on a wedding day.

Kendall, the matron of honor, and sister/best friend of the bride was ROCKING that dress, so we naturally she needed a stand alone portrait. Isn’t the back detail of this dress AMAZING?!
