THE INDEX

Autumn in Kentucky — Jacobs Wedding

Having Leah as a Two Arrows bride was a dream. She’s sweet, thoughtful and was down for whatever — she was truly a joy to work for. And then there is her family, I wrote a little about them in Nick and Leah’s engagement session post (view that here), I loved getting to know them better during the wedding day.

Take that, and add in that Nick is super nice, down for whatever and comes from a great family as well AND that their wedding party was a great time — it was an easy day for Daniel and I.

Dan and I define “easy days” not necessarily as ones where everything flows perfectly and not one thing goes awry, (it’s a wedding day SOMETHING always happens) but by the kindness of the people we’re working for.

We’re extremely blessed to work with so many wonderful couples who come from wonderful families, but showing up on a wedding day and being welcomed in by everyone not as a stranger, but as a teammate or sidekick all working towards the same shared goal is. the. best.

I ask most of my brides to ask their florists to save me a bag or so of extra broken flowers, greenery, things that were going to be discarded. I like this for two reasons, first, it’s not an extra cost to my brides, second, it gives a purpose to something that was just going to be thrown away.

Welborns never bats an eye at this request and I am so thankful. The detail photos you’re about to see below are why I ask this. I’m really able to level up detail photos and make them flow with the theme of the day with corresponding florals.

Leah’s mom and sister surprised her with her own monogramed Mrs. Box. I actually carry a couple of colors of these in my camera bag to use if I need to, except mine are sans initial. These make an excellent gift for a bride, especially with the personalized lid.

Here is the link to these boxes if you are a bride or are looking for a sweet, unique bridal gift for a friend or family member => https://themrsbox.com/

P.S. I highly recommend their gem pen, I have a couple of the wipes they sent with my last order and they work SO well.

Leah reminds me of a real life Snow White. Now you will not be able to unsee it. You’re welcome.

The bouquet (and all the floral) was insane. In a good way.

Nick and Leah couldn’t have picked a better wedding weekend for fall foliage if they had tried. The colors were phenomenal and worked so well with the color palette of their day.
