When I say it rained at Eric and Natalie’s engagement session, I mean it RAINED. Normally, if possible I would reschedule an engagement session for inclement weather, but this particular date was the one that worked for everyone’s schedule and it was quite a drive from Owensboro to Cincinnati, so Natalie and I decide to just risk the 40% of projected rain and go with it.

Well, 40, turned to 100% chance, with wind, but these two are troopers. I want you to keep all that in mind when you scroll through these because except for the aquarium shots at the very end, these are all outdoors.

I stretched my creativity muscle to make it still look like we were standing out in the middle of the weather without getting Eric and Natalie soaked, so we shot a lot of their session under bridges in downtown Cinci, or under doorways in Newport, and can I just say… even though I left this session soaked and chilled to the bone, it was exactly what I needed for a creative reboot. These rainy photos are so magically romantic it still makes my heart feel all the feels when I look at them.

Also, *slow clap* for Eric and Natalie because a session like this took a whole lotta trust and they never skipped a beat, they laughed, snuggled and rolled with all the punches thrown at us in two hours time.
