Oh, Ruby. If there was ever to be just a little extra helping of sass in one little girl, it’s this one.

Melissa, Ruby’s mom, is Dan’s first cousin, and has frequently made appearances on the blog. Since Ruby was born, Melissa has dreamed of doing a princess themed shoot with Ruby, and this past fall she was finally old enough.

Of four, Ruby is the only girl, and can more than hold her own. She loves Elsa and unicorns. However, her dress for this shoot and the season (fall) screamed Cinderella more than Elsa, so that’s the direction we went.

Ruby didn’t mind, she was just happy to be a “real princess” for an evening.

I’m not sure my goats had seen a human her size in their pasture before. They loved her. And she loved them.

I haven’t raised babies of my own this age yet, but watching others it seems to go by so fast. Don’t forget to soak up these sweet but fleeting little seasons with your baby girls.
