Happy Wedding Week Jason and Lauren!

In honor of their impending nuptials, I wanted to share a peek into their fall engagement session, on Jason’s family’s farm.

The four days until their wedding, mark the four days until the opening of my 2016 wedding season. I’m currently in a glass case of emotion about this wedding season. I’m going into 2016 with more weddings booked than any other year, by the end of this year I will have DOUBLED the amount of weddings I have photographed, yes, I have as many weddings booked for 2016 as my past experience of the years 2013, 2014 and 2015 COMBINED.

I mean, let’s not get carried away here, my past wedding total until now is only 11. But still, I am excited.

Enough about me, let’s talk about these two.

Jason is a friend of Daniel’s — like was even on OUR wedding guest list, back in 2014, kind of friend. Jason also farms right down the road from our farm. So when I hopped in my car to photograph their engagement session, I drove about 3 miles and I was at my destination. Easiest work commute ever. 😉

I’m so happy they chose me to be their photographer for this time in their life because it has given me a chance to meet Lauren, who I have bonded with over our mutual love of Harry Potter and what it means to be marrying a farmer — namely the unavoidable winter wedding.

The day we chose for their engagements was smack dab in the middle of harvest, Jason was a trooper though and shut down the combine for a couple of hours so we could accomplish this.

I’m so happy with how this session turned out, but most of all I am so happy these two found each other.
