Andy + Skyler: Love Never Dies

I published these images to the blog back in March and never got a chance to write a story to go along with it, but I’m glad it worked out that way because writing it here on wedding week feels the most right.

One of the first things Skyler said to me at her very first bridal meeting back in 2019 is that she loved the blog posts here. Her favorite part is always reading the stories that go along with the images… well, hers is going to rock the blog, because newborn letting me type permitting, she will have two before her wedding day.

You noticed I said 2019 right? Yep, Andy and Skyler were supposed to have a Halloween 2020 wedding. Around summer is was looking like everything would be on track for them, but with the early fall reflare up of Covid last year and most of their wedding guests being first responders, these two put Skyler’s dream of a Halloween wedding on hold until 2021.

I will selfishly say, I’m glad to have these two as a 2021 couple because their extended engagement means I’ve gotten to know them even better, because in the meantime, these two also booked my spring mini session and we did another engagement session for them so they had fresh photos before their wedding day.

If ever there was a couple prepped for wedding day portraits, it’s them.

But today, enjoy the very first session way back on a cold and gloomy 2019 day, that made for super onbrand, epic downtown Owensboro portraits for this Halloween loving bride.
