THE INDEX

Vance Romance

It’s been feeling like late spring the past couple of days, so it seems fitting to share late spring/early summer wedding from 2017. And let me tell you, you’re in for a real treat with this one.

I’m just going to jump straight into all the things I love about Cody and Alison’s. First, Cody and Allison, every time I had the honor to meet with Allison leading up to her wedding was truly a joy. I loved her sweet disposition that was laid back, but always very on top of her wedding to do list. While my time with Cody was limited to engagement session and wedding day, I loved how his personality complimented Alisons.

This wedding though. Y’all… this wedding. I could probably type for days on the details, Alison chose a color palette to compliment her venue, which was a blank canvas of a family friend’s wooded land, and accent pieces that took nature and rustic to such a classy and timeless level.

Alison and Cody’s wedding also became my first wedding to work with Smith House Floral, who went above and beyond with the florals, decorating and planning to make this day a dream. Which, important side note: Scott Sims with Smith House Floral is on my preferred vendor list because of this wedding and every single one I’ve worked with him after. Clearly I’m a fan.

Also, if you didn’t know we have a preferred vendor list, now you do.

Those cathedral windows. I love the idea of bringing the church to the outdoors.

Alison was driven to the ceremony in her Granddaddy’s truck, which just so happened to have a gorgeous blue enterior that complimented her bouquet perfectly.

If you ever wonder what my dreams are made of (I’m sure you probably do not, but I’m going to tell you anyway.) it’s this perfect golden hour light peeking through trees.
