I know I’ve said this like 1,001 times (slight exaggeration) but I really never get tired of an engagement session in a sentimental location.

For Jacob and Carla’s session we used the back yard at their home and then Jacob’s grandma’s home, a place where Jacob grew up playing in and around the lake and where he currently works.

Like so many of my 2020 couples, we were actually supposed to do this session in spring before planting season picked up for Jacob, but 2020 is Pandora’s box and their session was pushed to mid-June when things were open enough for socially distanced shoots.

It made for a toasty session, but the sun showed off with all the best glowy summer evening light — my favorite!
